Love the park. warning though: There is a tree on the blue trail parallel to the dog park that the top has been snapped and is hanging over the walkway. It's an accident waiting to happen.

I remember the park and the animals back in the 80s. We just visited the park today and what a joy that was. We are wondering if the park would allow us to rent some space for a family BBQ in July. It would be such a beautiful place that is centrally located to everyone and the kids could play in the park. Who can I contact to inquire?

To inquire about purchasing a bench for the park contact the Friends of Benson Park at

Good morning,
I'm trying to find concrete evidence, pictures, bill of sales, news paper clippings regarding the Native American Statue that currently stands in front of what used to be the Mohawk Club in Shirley Massachusetts. People herabouts say that it was bought from Benson's. If you have something or can point me in a direction for more research it would be greatly appreciated.

Thank You for your consideration

I would like to know where the replica F-unit type train engine and cars went after they sold the Benson's park, and if it is still running anywhere or there.
