I remember the park and the animals back in the 80s. We just visited the park today and what a joy that was. We are wondering if the park would allow us to rent some space for a family BBQ in July. It would be such a beautiful place that is centrally located to everyone and the kids could play in the park. Who can I contact to inquire?

I'm trying to find concrete evidence, pictures, bill of sales, news paper clippings regarding the Native American Statue that currently stands in front of what used to be the Mohawk Club in Shirley Massachusetts. People herabouts say that it was bought from Benson's. If you have something or can point me in a direction for more research it would be greatly appreciated.
Thank You for your consideration
I would like to know where the replica F-unit type train engine and cars went after they sold the Benson's park, and if it is still running anywhere or there.
What were the bumper stickers they used to put on every bumper???

Field Trip! What an exciting phrase for 4th graders to hear. From a 3 room schoolhouse in Shirley MA off on an aventure to be remembered forever. A school bus loaded with excitement headed to Hudson NH and Bensons Wild Animal Farm. None of us had much money in our pockets, no need to. Walking the paths and venturing into the different buildings to view animals we had only read about was all we needed. Shared my popcorn with the monkey sitting atop a pole. Ring the bell and he would pull the little bucket up and feast. What a grand day, what a special memory for myself and all my classmates. Many a tale was told on the return trip to home. That was 67 years ago....
