Hi,
I visited the park on the day it was open to the pubic. I have so many memories from my childhood I wanted to speak with you, but you were in another part of the park. I was the one who asked a volunteer where the old woman in the shoe went, she called you and you said she was stolen. Do you know if there are any pictures of her around? Also, are you going to do anything at the Hudson Library this coming summer? I missed it, and would love to see it.

When I was walking around on that rainy Saturday, I was hoping to see something that looked like it did when I was a child. I kept looking, but of course didn't find anything.

I enjoy the websites with pictures of the past.

Shannon, I believe that ticket was for late 60's early 70's. I have brochures from the early 60's where the price was 60c for Adults and 30c for children.

Hi, I found a ticket stub with a price of 60 cents to the park. Does anyone know the approximate year this ticket stub is from? It admits a child under 12. Thanks!

Dear Toni; I do believe that the park is closed until next spring, if there is a clean up going on at the time you are in town, maybe you could volunteer for a couple of hours, and see the park that way. Sincerely Cindy Provencher

Breaking news! the Benson Park committee has changed the opening from Saturday the 14th to the rain date of Sunday, November 15, 2009 from 10-2 due to the predicted weather.

Also, not sure what you're collecting for, Lynne, but just to let you know that I have and am continuing to do just that. The plan is for a Benson book and other items, with the money raised to go toward the upkeep of the park.

Toni- As far as I know, This weekend is supposed to be the last one till spring. I'm hoping to see the kind of turnout we had at the last one (over 1,000) if not more, I love talking and sharing the memories, stories, and history of the Park.
